We have excellent contacts with doctors and medical advisers, who are fully aware of the ins and outs regarding to the maritime professions. In most cases the claim can be quickly determined and settled.
This also shows the personal touch that is so elementary in the event of disability.
In some countries, a designated absence control has been designed with the advantage that the seafarer receives medical treatment and the expenses will be invoiced directly to Omnia.
In these countries we work closely with the agents to reduce the administrative and organizational burden for our customers to a minimum.
The MWB Scheme covers for our clients:
- Temporary total disablement benefits, up to 365 days
- Permanent total/partial disablement in accordance with P.O.E.A. requirements and final settlement within 365 days
- Loss of Life in accordance with P.O.E.A. requirements
- Medical expenses worldwide, up to max. 365 days or final settlement if earlier including medical treatment in the Philippines
- Repatriation due to accident or illness
- Loss of personal effects and cash in the event of a naval disaster
- The cost of the return of corpse or ashes plus funeral costs
- MWB scheme controlled local absence control
